upkeep costs 2018 X5 35i vs 50i
Wondering if the costs to upkeep the V8 is a lot more than the straight 6.
Is the V8 as realiable overtime? We hope to drive our cars 10 years. |

At a guess, consumables - 2 extra spark plugs on the 8. Bigger brakes and tyres, and more go juice!
I’d say people choose the 50i because they are more of an enthusiast and overlook the above. That’s me! |

Filling the tank would be the highest upkeep. It rarely goes over 400mi per tank unless you are cruising down the highway in ECO mode with cruise control.
