Two ways to go about it:

1) Attach pictures to your post by clicking on the "Attachments" button (looks like a paperclip). This will prompt you to upload pics directly from your computer's hard drive/folder. It's like attaching a picture file to an email.

You upload a picture to your own website, or picture storage server, or some other file server, then find out the URL (address) of that picture file.
