How can I reset my Vehicle Inspection (UK MOT) in my 2014 X5 40d?

I had my annual MOT conducted at an independent and saved £45 on BMW's standard charge, but the Vehicle Inspection notification wasn't reset.

I've tried the normal service reset menu (long IRO press) and whilst there are options for resetting oil etc, it says Vehicle Inspection cannot be reset.

I've tried the other cluster menu where you enter the last digits of your VIN but don't see anything there. I've also tried the idrive menu (long push up, 3, 3, 1 etc) but again couldn't find anything there.

Any forum members know how to reset this indicator? The F15 is over 5 years old now, we can't all be paying full price MOTs at the dealers.

You just select it from within iDrive and input your own reminder date

Thank you. Somehow thought it would be more difficult than this. Should have tried the simple approach first
