Harman Kardon - it's brilliant with faults

So before buying the F85 I read a few posts that concerned me regarding the HK sound system. I've had it in all my previous AMG's and I always thought it was the super cool fancy sound system to get. Then I saw the BO set up and the HK turned into Zenith.

But seriously, I had the "premium" or "upgraded" sound in the E70 and it was amazing. Really really spectacular sound. I have to believe the HK was as good.

And it is, in fact, it's phenomenal. But you have to know the limitations - also depends highly on what you listen to.

I'm an Eagles fan. Pink Floyd. Creedence. I'll blast some Elton and follow up with Fade to Black.

The HK sound on anything lower than 25%-30% volume is a joke. Muffled sound, really tough to enjoy unless you're listening to a podcast. After a few tweaks to the EQ, and volume up to at least 30%, the thing is a symphony.

You have to run some power to the speakers and they'll wake up. It's really a respectable system, just have to feed them some juice!
