Placed my E46ZHP for sale :(

I just posted my car up for sale on E46 fanatics. I am going to order E90 M3 JzB. I am hoping I am making the right decision.

I have yet to test drive an E92 or E90 M3. I haven't had the opportunity.

It was a sad day after I got rid of my E46 ZHP, too. The E9X M3 is a very natural progression from that car though. Same balanced package, smooth and linear power delivery, and the manual gearbox feels exactly the same; the new M3 just has a lot more power.

You're in a better situation than I was. My plan was to keep my ZHP until the second model year of the new M3 came out. A drunk driver in a truck with no insurance had other plans, however. So, I've been BMW-less for almost two years while I wait. Only two more months though, so it's all good.

I traded my '03 ZHP in for my current M coupe, which was just a stop gap until I get the M3 (soon). I still miss that car. I've had a lot of fun with the coupe, and even learned a little more about driving, but part of me wishes I had just kept the old ZHP. Has to be one of the best all time non M cars.

Wow, sorry to hear about your misfortune of loosing the ZHP. But I am glad to hear about your fortune of getting an M3.

The Mcoupe can a be a teaching tool. The car is a feisty machine that packages a blunt amount of power. One needs to be a skillful driver to handle and balance such power. I am glad that you had that car. But congrats on your new M3

How are you liking your E90. Did you test drive both the E90 and the E92?

I'm sure there will be times when I miss the M Coupe also. They're like hot ex-girlfriends. Can't take away those memories.

Why did you post your car for sale on E46 Fanatics? Because of the young population on there and you think they will be eager to buy it?

I very much agree. It's amazing how all those different little tweaks to the standard E46 transformed the car. That car will not soon be forgotten.

Thanks. I met my wife through that accident (she was an assistant at the doctor's office where I got my physical therapy), so I really can't complain.

Do you have an allocation yet for the E90? Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long.

TLUd, I don't have an allocation on the New M3. I don't know if I should now, because I graduate from college in June of 09. That is going to be a present for me; due to the fact it is a milestone accomplishment. I spoke to Will @ LB BMW , he told me that I can order by January or February.
Hey that worked meeting your wife through the accident. Funny how things work out.

I will post it on Autotrader also; but I didn't have the time, because I just purchased the new Apple Notebook, and I was trying to figure out how to upload the photos on to it.

I hear ya, the E46 was a present to myself after graduating law school. Graduating will likely be reward enough in itself, but it'll be nice having something extra to look forward to.
