Door close noise

I have a 2013 M6 and I'm not sure if the noise is from the door actuator or a soft close feature but when I shut the door it makes a horrendous noise as shown in the video. Does anyone know if this is the door actuator and is this something I can take apart and repair myself?

Sounds like a gear or similar inside the lock assembly.
