Detailing
I don’t know about y’all, but I like detailing my own car. I’ve been using the Kirkland microfiber towels and they are pretty good, but upon reading about ‘pro’ detail towels I discovered and ordered two different kinds from Amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I like them both, but the Chemical Guys rags are only ‘plush’ on one side. The Rag Company ones are borderless and super plush all around. They do a much better job with my Meguiar’s Ultimate Detail spray for the final finish. On the other hand the Chemical Guys’ rags are much bigger. I like them both. The Costco ones are great for the Chrome wheels and interior. |

I’m a big fan of Chemical Guys. I don’t have many of their towels but use many other items from them.
The combo of their White Light Glaze, followed by Jet Seal and topped with Butter Wax works great for light colors. |

I like to do most everything on my car that I can, and cringe when somebody else has to touch it. But for some reason I like detailing the inside more than the outside. If it get's a door ding I'll have it removed immediately and won't live with scratches or paint chips, but I've sort of resigned myself to the fact that whatever improvement in shine can be obtained by three layers of different products is hidden by one day's worth of dust. So I wax it now and then with whatever wax Autozone has in a pretty box, and maybe - maybe once a year I'll buff out most of the dust scratches, and call it a day. I like the exterior to look nice, but I no longer obsess over it. But if there is one dust speck on my nav screen I will not sleep until it's gone.
