gas mileage

I think this thread was made a while ago sorry if repost , I couldn't really find it on search. But I'm just curious what you guys are getting off the mpg, i thought it would be around 15-16, but im at 10.5 the whole day , I've idled for about 1 hour tops? i hope that was the reason.

Idling kills your mileage. Especially with this car.

My wife is a rather agressive driver, yet she gets 18mpg, I, however, get only 14mpg.

I am getting 21.9 MPG with 90% freeway and 10% city. The car has 300 miles on it now. I hope it gets even better when broken in!!

Hm, So my bad gas mileage , ( at 11.2 ) is because of my break-in?? I've had it for 3 days 142 miles on it. Its supposed to get better as the miles go up?? Thanks

i have the power switched off.

also for DCT, i use D1 and D2 most of the time. Since i have the tech pack, if i want to go fast i just press a button

the throttle mapping makes a huge difference you don't give as much, and d1 starts out in second gear and most shifts happen before 3k...

During break-in I was somewhere around 16. But soon as I got the POWER button and full range of RPM that is when it dropped significantly. Although 99% of my driving has been around town, not on the highway.

I believe in the UK premium gas is 98 Octane and this should help performance and gas mileage? or we would all be using 87 Octane in the US...
