Ambient lighting

Is there any way to increase the brightness of the ambient lighting in a 2015 650 GC? Unless you place your fingers directly under the any of the door's interior ambient lighting, you cannot even they are there.

Thanks

What color is your interior?? With the 1st iteration of the interior ambient lighting option, the lighting isn't that bright and a dark (black) interior makes it seem almost invisible until you're in an extremely dark location. If you stick a white sheet of paper below the light locations...you can see the light is actually shining.

If you're asking where to find interior ambient light adjustment...I believe it is under the FRM (footwell) module or FEM (front electronics) module...I forget which one it's called for a 2013.

But don't get your hopes up too high because the early version is not going to be nearly as bright as the latter models that can change colors to look like a night club/brothel/etc.

Your interior ambient lighting is similar to the original (muted & yellowish hued) Angel Eye/Halos vs the later (piercing bright white) LED corona rings. The 1st iteration was designed to be subtle & muted.

If memory serves me correct, I think there's an option in BimmerCode to separate the ambient lighting from the instrument cluster lighting (can't recall the exact wording at this time)...but it looks like it was there so that you could code the ambient lighting at 100%...but then be able to dial down the instrument cluster lighting so that it wasn't at its max setting just to blaze the ambient lights.

...just a friendly dig at the newer light package...only because I wouldn't call it "ambient" lighting if it is no longer "subtle".

In the '14 M6GC with black interior an B&O audio, the ambient lighting is difficult to see unless it is absolutely dark outside. I have it set at max brightness.
had it checked out but that is all she will do...
