Hit a Cat - Need Help w/ Refit of Front Grill
yesterday I was driving (within the posted limit) and a cat jumped out in front of the car. I managed to slow down quite a bit, but still hit the thing. It didn't get under the tires though, it looked like it flipped up into the lower grill and just got thrown forward really hard by the car and then just took off running after getting rolled a few times (hopefully not to just die in the bushes, but there was nothing I could do to check after it ran away). No blood and no damage to the car, except that the bottom grill got pushed back out of place and now I can't quite get it back into it's original position. It doesn't appear damaged or warped, just seems like the only way to pull it back forward into position would be to get at it from the inside (my fingers are worn out from trying to stick my fingers in an pull it forward).
Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to reallign this. Do I need to lift the car and get in from underneath or is there an alternative? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I'm new to M3's. Nothing useful from me to say.. but just to say that the cat had survived, if nothing had deformed in your car, then it had easily killed the cat.
Your car is Cat friendly |

So the M3 is so fast that even cats can't get out of the way?
Faster than the Speed of Light? Make a tool out of a coat hanger or just a fish hook and pull? |

Dang that sucks man, kinda reminds me of what happend to my friend. It was 10 at night and a cat came in his was(he was in a mazada) and he nailed that thing pretty hard. When he got him and checked his front bumper the entire middle peice was ripped off. I was like dang, thought it broke from curb humping but guess I was wrong lol.

I was driving my E36 M3 once on a street that had a soft right turn, and then medium left turn, when a cat decided to jump in front of me. Hit it on the right hand corner bumper. I immediately stopped. Looked in my rearview mirror, to see what happened to the cat. The cat got up, walked in daze, and then sprinted to the bushes. Nothing happened to my car though. HEHHEHE. Silly cat trying to outrun an M3. you loose biatch.

Groan. I think you should be demoted to Major for that remark.

If you do the coat hanger thing, put a towel or cloth or some other pad between the wire and the back of the grill. If the grill is plastic like the E45 M3 then the wire could "bite" into the plastic and kind of warp it. Don't ask me how I know.

They say that racing drivers should have the reflexes of a cat... I guess that's still not gd enough.
