carbon fiber mirror cap

Hi all,

I'm looking for CF mirror caps for my 650 GC. I've been looking around and most of them are just stick on CF covers. I want the full housing swap instead. Anybody have full housing installed and can point me in the right direction?

nobody changed out their mirror caps to CF one?

i started a similar thread and decided to just wrap them in vinyl. still need to figure out how to pop off the caps lol.

fitment seems to be an issue with the aftermarket ones.

interesting. I'm new to the BMW aftermarket Cf stuff. In the MB world, there were quite a few vendors that did CF mirror covers and the quality was not bad.

I've found some CF mirror housing, but they seem to copy the M cars with the long piece on top of the mirror. That would be good, but it appears the M6 does not come with that style of mirror.. and I haven't seen anybody with that type of mirror posted on here.

Check eBay, they have caps for $75 or so. They look like the M side mirrors. I have been meaning to buy them just haven't yet.

Yeah, the M side mirrors seem to be the only replacement housings available. It sucks the M6 doesn't use those kind of mirrors, so I have no idea how they will look. I think I have only seen 1 photo of that kind of mirror posted on here so far.. so not sure

This is easy...in the future, you can just go to the www.newtis.info website, enter the last 7 digits of your VIN, then type a simple keyword or phrase into the search box.

In this case I typed..."remove exterior mirror"...and the following (direct link) came up in the results (note the links for PRELIMINARY WORK)...and if you're new to this site, you can click on the images to expand the view:

Are they stick on with 3m tape? I want the full housing change. From all the full housing CF mirrors , they all seem to be for the pre lci 6 series. I'm looking for LCI.

I think I may just end up with the CF M mirror housing and see how they look on the 6.
