Just heard..our '09 E93 starts production,But.........

My dealer just let me know our '09 E93 is going into production.......but, when I asked he said no new iDrive! He says it will be phased in later . If that's the case I'll just have to wait. I don't want one of the few '09s with an outdated system. Does anyone have any definitive info on this.
Thanks
BTW the new base price is $66,150.00

I read it. Seems like a bunch of speculation and guessing. Is this how BMW generally does business? Hopefully someone will get an answer soon.

A lot of CA's dont really have the most up to date or accurate information sometimes. I bet a lot of people on this forum know more about the car then the people who actually selling the cars

I was at the Munich plant yesterday, and all the normal 3ers there (non-M LCI sedans and tourings) were being manufactured with the new i-drive. If I had to guess, the Regensburg plant should be building their's with the new i-drive also. BMW uses a just-in-time supply system so I don't think they would have any 08 i-drive systems laying around.

When it comes to BMW NA, yes, unfortunately. Other regions seem to be much more organized, including (though by no means always the case) better educated dealer network as well.

solid info. to the OP, you should ask your dealer how he knows that it doesn't include the new stuff. go to the dealership and look at the screen and see if you can discern for yourself.
