Remove front strut from knuckle

Part way through fitting ACS RS kit (KW v3).
Front end is all stripped down, N/S/F strut is poking out of the arch, but I can't get the bloody thing out of the knuckle!
Bolt is obviously out, I've opened it up with a pry bar, but it just will not move.
What am I doing wrong?

TIA!

Whack it with a mallet and pull/twist. There’s a guide pin/groove so it won’t twist fully but you just need to release from it being seized up

And spray it down with some WD-40 or other lubricant and let sit for a few minutes. Make sure you clean all of the debris and dirt FIRST before spraying it!

Instead of a pry bar, i used the following and the strut came out effortlessly after a few whacks with the mallet. Didn't need to juggle keeping pry bar pressure on the knuckle and whacking the strut with a mallet. The tool is inserted and keeps the knuckle separated.

Use a strut separator, it'll slip out like butter!

Cheers all, I'd used loads of WD40, ended up giving it a tap from the side and it slipped straight out.
Both sides were really awkward!
