Is M-DCT able to hold gears?

Hi,

I was wondering if DCT is able to hold gears upon reaching redline (bounce off rev limiter if it has to), unlike the Audi/VW DSG which automatically shifts up gears. Thanks

I don't know if it is the same for m3's
but in the 335i if you hold onto the shifter
it will not shift out of the gear no matter how slow/fast you're moving

it will remain in gear until you shift it

Yep it will just bounce off of the rev limiter....
