BMW M3 Saloon OR 335 Touring 09???
Ok, so the title says it all
I have 2 options. 1. Second hand M3 Saloon, about 9 months old with toys. £42k 2. Brand new 09 335 Touring with Toys. £42k Same price, but here is the issue. I probably do around 20k miles a year, so the depeciation on the cars will be high. Interestingly though the M3 was £53k new, and it has lost £11k in less than a year!!!. Surely , it cannot lose much more!, Thoughts?. Someone else must have been through this |

If you don't absolutely need the extra storaga of a touring, then go for the M3. It'll give you much much more driving satisfaction.

Clearly, the 2nd hand M3 is the better buy. Since you're going to log a lot of miles anyway, it makes less sense to get a brand new car. Why not get the used M3 and benefit from someone else's depreciation hit. However, I do envy that estates/wagons are more popular in europe and a touring 335i with the extra boot space and utility would be a nice thing to have. Wish we had such options here. I could've used an RS4 Avant.
