22" Rims wheel size?

Hey gang I'm new to the X5 platform after coming from a F30 since I needed more space. I've search the threads and spoke to a couple of people thru messaging. I've narrowed down a rim choice (22x9/22x10.5) to only find out that the tire of choice 295/30 & 335/25 might be to much. So my question to those who have more experience with X5s, should I find wheels that mirror oem specs and run the desired tire choice or stay with the wheel I've chosen and run smaller tires with bigger spacers. I have a '17 x35i M sport. Thanks

Welcome!

I'd go with 10.5/12 and 15mm spacers front and back.

Those wheel widths are very narrow for those tires widths. a 335/25/22 is designed for a 11.5" wide wheel or wider. Might look kinda odd cuz the sidewall is gonna bulge.

My experience is that most of us with 22s are running 10.5 in the front and 12 in the rear, with the tire sizes you mentioned above (myself included). I am pretty sure 10 and 11.5 would work and honestly am not sure why 10.5/12 is more common.

My preference would be to run bigger wheels to accommodate those tires. But to each his own.

Yeah I agree with both of you guys on that. After searching for wheels today it seems like 9/10.5 wheels are readily available but like you guys said those are on the smaller size for the truck. I just got the truck Saturday so I got some time to figure it out. Thanks guys.
