ESS 625 second idler pulley question

Hi folks,

I wan putting my ESS kit on and when putting the idler pulley onto the bracket, I realized that in the manual there wasn't a detailed description for how to assemble that. I've stored the kit for a while and moved the parts around some times so I'm also not sure if I have everything needed for the pulleys.

If anyone has any insight it would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!

Attached picture is everything I can find for the pulleys. Not so sure if the silver ring should be 1 or 2

A little update:

I put the silver ring onto the top pulley and it made the pulley spinable (without the ring it would be stuck). BUT the top pulley and bottom pulley wouldn't be on the same horizontal level, hence belt couldn't be routed. Does that mean there must be a second silver ring for the lower pulley as well?

I assemble the top one in the order of: bracket, spacer, silver ring, pulley. Not sure if it's the right way but it seems to work?

Any input is welcome!

that ring looks like the bypass valve inner ring - Im facing an issue with the belt touching the bracket so will take some pics later for posting.

The ring is definitely the Bypass valve ring. Look at the video at 4:00

If you have the gen 1 bracket take a look at ESS website below if it helps with a reference on how the pulleys go in.

If you have a gen 2, here is mine where I'm trying to resolve the touching issue. You can reference of how the spacers go below the pulley.

Also here is the PDF manual if it helps.

Ohhhh yeah that's a bypass valve ring! It looks like I have a gen1 kit with the silver pulleys. The problem is, for one of them if I just install the spacer and pulley, after I tight the bolt, the pulley won't spin freely. But the other one can spin freely after bolt tightened. Is that the case for the kit? Or both of them should spin freely

Both pulleys should spin freely when installed. I am removing the belt ad supercharger pulley on Thursday and will let you know if you don't get it resolved by that time.

Problem SOLVED: seems like the bolt holding the bracket to the head is out too much causing the pulley to not spin. Solution: tight the bolt few more rounds and make it flush to the bracket
