12 Error Codes After Map Tune

All,

Today will be my 3rd day running a new map and the car is now throwing 12 codes. I will not say who the tuner is until I get their permission, as it is not certain if the map is the issue.

Few things to note are the car was well taken care of prior to purchase a month ago. It is running MS X-pipes and BW axle back. One throttle activator was rebuilt less than 30k miles ago, while the other was replaced with a new one around 20k miles ago. It does not make sense for the car to state that bank 1 throttle actuator is faulty as listed. The oil cap and valve cover gasket on bank 1 has been leaking a bit of oil, could it be possible for the coils or spark plugs to be affected by this leak? Replacing the gaskets is something I’d like to get to as soon as the weather permits for those wondering. Another issue are the tail lights. The car is saying none of the lights work, even though they are in working condition; the brake lights even come on when braking.

Is it possible that a simple map upgrade could cause the car to throw random codes? Or is it just coincidence these issues are happening at the same time a new map was uploaded?

What happened when you loaded the stock file and cleared the codes?

I would try loading the stock file and seeing what happens. It's too coincidental that these all came up right after this. As far as a throttle actuator goes, it's probably a faulty code right now, but if you did replace yours with a used one, then it's possible that the used one has failed. It happened to mine recently. I wouldn't go straight to the actuator though. Troubleshoot with the simplest step first. Try flashing another known working file and see if the codes come back.

Will try that and report back. Let's say if all goes away....what would that tell us? In your opinion.

I hope not. One was rebuilt and the other is brand new (not certain of their corresponding banks...yet). However, I found a post talking about how fried actuator circuits can also come up as "failure". So that's something to look into. Could the primary 02 sensors cause misfire?

Update: All codes cleared from a simple passenger side 02 sensor replacement.
