Question regarding LC

So tonight I attempted a few LC with my m3. What I have done till this point upon engaging LC is shit the gears myself. Based on what I haved read, I know that once you are in LC mode " s6,tc OFF, Sport and sport plus for all other settings" the car is supposed to shit gears on its own. Well I tried that for the first time tonight on 4 different occasions. At every attempt, the car hit the rev limiter and did not shit into the next gear. I launched the car at 3k RPMs each time and made sure to press the pedal all the way down passed the little click!! Am i doing something wrong?? Thanks in advance.

4100 RPM is supposed to be the bottom end of LC. So, 3k RPM launches don't sound right.

Follow the instructions exactly, need the checkered flag and all. If you don't your just doing hard manual launches in S6. In that case you need to shift yourself.

ahhh there's your problem right there ... take it back to BMW to remap your software ...

DCT software on every M3 (except yours) say something like this:

If (car_rev=8300RPM)
{
shift_gear(gear_up)
}

your car:

If (car_rev=8300RPM)
{
shit_gear(gear_up)
}

ERROR function shit_gear not found ...

Make sure the little *** is showing on the dash. Normally in LC you'll get 5500 rpm take offs. You can adjust it +/- 500 with the cruise control lever. Keep the gas pedal floored, and mean floored. If you lift, even slightly, the LC is done and you will need to shift the gears yourself.

Try not to shit the gears....he he.
