Dinan Middle Racing & Dinan Rear Section Exhaust - discontinued, so whats next?

Hello All,

Apologies if this is a redundant question - after researching, watching videos and hearing one live at a meet - i am obsessed (no, not like OG :-)) about this setup. Ironically, he has/had same setup that i want also (i watched his videos too).

As understand it - this exhaust setup is now discontinued..?

Does anyone know whether the Dinan Free Flow Axle-Back Exhaust - 2008-2013 BMW M3 - Part# D660-0027 is the next version of the one i seek or is that different in its sound etc...

Thanks for educating me.

Only the xpipe was discontinued. They pop up in the used exhaust section occasionally

Xpipe is nothing special, you can have one fabricated or go for something better like an RKP.

RKP has a quad resonated X pipe?

Dinan X was discontinued and remains desirable. Muffler is available, also popular.

I'm sure if you asked IND nicely they could do a quad resonator setup. The jig is configured for secondary HFC's you could easily tell them to place another resonator in replacement.

Dinan parts were all fab'd by Magnaflow weren't they? I don't see it them that special, it's easy exhaust work to weld 4 resonators in.

Another option that is also discontinued would be the Borla quad res x-pipe. It could have been had for cheap a few years back at $1250.

Ah, perhaps they could. I asked if they could build me a Sport pipe using the higher quality Vibrant GESi cats instead of the cheap metallic cats and they declined without a big GB, for whatever that’s worth.

First I’ve heard of Magnaflow making parts for Dinan. I know that’s true for Bimmerworld. Not saying it’s not true, just never heard that.

Im still convinced that Borla made the e9xm3 exhaust for Dinan.

Order the borla xpipe which is very similar to the design of the dinan x pipe, mufflers are easy to find
