Who offers anti lag for F80?

What are the options available for anti lag on F80?

JB4 works best with MHD in general. Shoot Terry an email if you're interested. I believe you'll need the following items in order for the anti-lag setup to work:

1. Additional wire to the JB4 harness
2. MHD (for specific tuning tables)
3. Special JB4 firmware

If you have a custom BM3 tune, there's a way to export them into MHD, but I won't get into that publicly. Some e-tuners do both BM3 and MHD, so they may be able to assist.

At the current moment, to my knowledge, no software platform provider has offered rolling anti-lag as a feature for the F80 platform. I've reached out directly to JB4, Protuning Freaks, and Ecutek. Responses range from "no not at this time" to "we are working on it but no immediate time table" was received.

This is such horseshit. This is seriously raining on my build plans. Thanks for the reply!

Wait, JB4 has antilag. I'm not sure if rolling antilag any different?

Light left foot braking = rolling anti-lag
Just saying

I thought you can't brake boost the DCT because it physically won't let you do it? Also wouldn't you just cook the clutches if you did it anyways? (Assuming we're all talking about DCT cars here)

Clutch pack will definitely be taking the abuse. But it seems, when the car is rolling, the DME will allow the brake pedal to be depressed up to a certain percentage without major throttle closure. This is definitely not the case from a stop, because power will instantly get cut off if you attempt to brake boost without using launch control.

I've yet to see a DCT datalog specifically to monitor the conditions with brake boost, so no one really knows what the DME is doing in the background.

Hopefully they come up with it soon! It's so addicting in the GTR. Just very rough on the Turbos

JB4 has rolling anti-lag for the N54 and it seems to work great. There's a local 600whp 335 that uses it effectively on 40-60mph rolls and he's beating equally fast porsches and corvettes.

Fingers crossed ecutek comes out with one for the s55, as they did for the GTR platform, otherwise standalone is the last frontier but not many options out there except syvecs. If Motec was in the game for the F80 platform that would've been a no brainer for me. sigh

I guess brake boosting it is. Never tried it before. I guess I'll give it a try.

Clicking on that video was one thing, but watching it until I realized I was halfway done.... That's just beyond me. These exercises definitely should help though. But make sure to slide all the way before brake boosting. On a serious note, see the link:

In my opinion, there is no comparison to holding your foot on the brake ( OLD SCHOOl ) and doing it with software. Hopefully it will get figured out soon for this platform!! I am actually surprised it's taking this long. GRRRRRRR
