DO88 Oil Cooler Additional capacity

Those with D088 oil coolers, given the additional capacity, what's rough gauge on the additional oil volume? I'm around 9.5 liters nearly full.

When installing I let the oil drain around 24 hours. Got everything back together and added usual 8.5 liters. Got the "+1 liter" chime, and added in increments until I hit about 9.5 liters.

I put 9, then finetune afterwards. Even when it tells me to add 1q I still do a few drive cycles to confirm, then only add half a quart.

Ok - Sounds in line with my experience. The sensor is painfully slow...

At the same time I feel it is more accurate than the dipstick option.

In the F series you can no longer take readings without the car stationary and at operating temp. Then it raises the rpm to a specified point to take a very scientific measurement.

I know I've just upset all the dipstick lovers out there :P

Interesting regarding F8x series - Probably doesn't help driving around while taking measurements.

I should try the stationary approach.

Do 9L, its enough. Then go for a few drives then check. You may not need to top up at all.

Thanks. I landed at ~9.5 liters and the gauge has repeatedly read 5/6ths full.

What SC runs on the engine oil circuit?

Additional oil capacity should help the car run cooler, no?

g power utilizes oil engine, sourced from the oil pressure sensor.
