My 135is(coming soon)...

Hello all...Current M4 ZCP owner and soon to be 135is owner.

I fount one for sale on Car max and jumped on it. Super excited to drive the hell out of it! My local dealership pulled the service history for me and the service history seems excellent. I haven't actually paid for it yet since its being shipped to me from Sacramento.

So I figured I'd put the a link up here and see if anyone knows the specific car or has any thoughts.

https://www.carmax.com/car/18351645

Hopefully that works.

Thanks everyone!

I ordered an out-of-state car from Carmax and they make everything super-easy. Just make sure you look over everything carefully once it arrives. Don't be afraid to walk away if there's something wrong. You're only on the hook for the transportation costs right now.

That's pretty rare for Carmax. I think I've only ever seen one other 135is on Carmax. Enjoy!

Good find! M sport cars are somewhat hard to find since people don’t usually willingly part with their 1er lol
Those gray mirrors are interesting, don’t think that’s stock?
Made me immediately look for the under the hood shot to see if everything was unmolested. Seems stock though!

No transportation cost yet...

But it has been super easy so far. I feel I was luck to find it. There has been NOTHING available locally for months. So I expanded my search to nation wide and after a few days, this one popped up, so I reserved it immediately. Now it on its way...without having to pay the transportation cost. At least not yet anyway.

fyi for anyone looking for one...Search for 135i and look for the correct rims that are exclusive to the 135is and/or the interior badge/trunk badge. Would have missed this one if I didn't do that.

Hmmmm...I wonder if its just lighting that makes them appear gray? Otherwise, like you said, it seems stock and taken care of.

Someone added that spoiler. Looks good.

The 135is is a nice car, especially in Alpine White.

Hope it all works out.

I bought my 135is in Sacramento from Carmax and I had it shipped here, also. For what it's worth, I was a little uncertain about buying the warranty, because you have to buy it before you walk out of the door. So I bought it. 6 months later I saw oil on the Garage floor and took it in. Oil pan and Evap replaced. Tried to get the OFHG too, but the claims adjuster only called it "weeping" and not a leak. In total, $3000 of work. Worth the $2000 6 year 100K warranty in 6 months with minus $300 deductible. Not to mention, peace of mind.

Do you typically repair your cars yourself or take them in? I don't typically get extended warranty because I usually do things myself.

Yes, the beautiful 313M wheels and stickers come from the factory. And yes, a joke that the M stickers add hp.

Super clean ride, has essentially all the options too!
I think someone already mentioned the different rear spoiler, could be the BMW performance one, but hard to tell.
I also noticed maybe the front rotors look dark/striated? Probably just the lighting/reflections though.

One thing that did catch my attention and I don't think I've seen before though is the different Power Steering Fluid Reservoir.

Other than that, the oil cap is upside down, but that's just my own personal OCD.

I'll have them fix the oil cap for sure!

Yes a joke from another thread. I used to repair all my own cars, especially thru college when I couldn't afford to do anything else. But that was a years ( a couple of decades ago). Even my 1988 318is. Now I'm getting older and never had so many features, electronics, or turbos. Plus, it is a BMW. Repair, parts, and diagnosis can be more difficult than I want to tackle. The warranty gave me peace of mind in case anything when wrong after I drove off the lot. So, lately I've taken it in for service

I would have pressed the adjuster. Gaskets are not supposed to weep. Especially this one. It's only a matter of time before you're staring at a river of oil coming out of that area. I don't know how long mine was leaking but when I did notice it, I was seeing small oil puddles under my car. The gravity of the situation wasn't apparent until the belly pan was dropped and it was covered with oil. That explained why I had to add about half a quart of oil when I just happened to check the oil level. The need to add oil was about a week from when I noticed oil on the garage floor till the sensor registered half way between min and max.

If the adjuster still wouldn't budge, I would have talked to the shop and asked how much it would be to do while they're in there.

I believe thats the updated power steering from the 1M and such im not sure if factory on a 135is but its an upgrade over the older versions.

I think the car looks great, looks to be the M performance spoiler, and i believe all 135iS models came with a different colour mirror i think black? But im not expert. Enjoy in good health

Ahh yeah, I think you're right. Did a little google searching and it looks like maybe cars with active steering also have this reservoir.
