Stock exhaust dB re Laguna Seca?

Hey all,

I'm trying to find experience with stock exhaust at Laguna Seca with the 90 dB limit. Lots of threads about modded exhaust and flap control, but I can't find anything on stock exhaust. Will I have trouble in Sport/Sport Plus with stock exhaust?

Thanks for any info.

If your exhaust is stock, don't even think twice about it.

I think stock exhaust on sport + could potentially blow sound at Laguna.
I have catless dp's + AA mid + stock rear section, and I can run comfort or sport, and go flat out, but in Sport + I have to either let off or move to the left, the latter does not always work.

Stock exhaust on sport+ is fine. I have never had issues there.

Def not.

M-Performance and CS Exhaust have never had a problem at Lime Rock Park (86db)

Rub it in twin, Laguna Seca is brutal for sound. Ask me how I know.

It's comical seeing how much people invest in order to clear sound at Laguna. Porsche GT3 with GPS sensors to trigger exhaust valve closure etc.

Depends on what organization is hosting. Usually HPDE doesn't require it but a few highly recommend it.

You've got a tow hook in your trunk though.

Oh man. Haha. That’s awesome. I’m doing a hooked on driving event in the A group, so it should be pretty tame.

No mid pipe or anything? Limerock is ridiculously strict too and even my buddies Camaro (way louder than me) never got flagged.

never flagged with stock exhaust on 2016 M4, but MPE on CS been flagged almost every time until BMS controller.

its comical when running with GT3RS rigtht in front of you and all of a sudden at T5 - it goes quiet. Then right at T6, full song again and its massively loud again.

Smart bet is to equip at least the front. If you were to go off you definitely dont want to be rummaging through your trunk for a tow hook. Not to mention that the longer it takes to get you towed off the more of that session you could potentially be costing others.
