The hunt for this bumper
Hello!
I've been looking everywhere for this bumper. Does anyone know where it is to purchase? And will it fit on a 2017 X5 35i? Thanks! |

Yeah that's a stock X5M bumper. I bought an exact replica of the X5M front bumper, had the same stamps and everything. All the other parts on the car including the rear bumper are OEM. Mine is a 2016.

Love the brake color. Did you do that yourself? Would like to see more pics.

It was an even $1700. I love it. Stops so much better and looks incredible in person. I still want to get it coded for MPBK, supposed to be even more noticeable.

Yes, an OEM F85 X5M front bumper fits an F15, it’s all the same. I was at the point of buying one. I ordered the OEM F85 rear bumper and every single other piece from the dealer but somehow I found this CarID one right before also putting in the order for the OEM front bumper. I called they said it was identical. I took a chance. I’m still surprised a copy exists. The OEM front grills fit perfectly. I’m starting to suspect this is not even a replica because the fitment was perfect and so is the material. It had the OE part number stamps. Maybe it was sourced a different way. Next to my buddy’s X5M you wouldn’t possibly suspect it.

Sorry, didn't read. Yes, you would need X6M for F16.

what do you mean by x6m for f16? sorry if an OEM x5m bumper fits on your x5 i would say i can order an OEM x6m bumper for my f16. i remember on my previous e92, a m3 front bumper couldnt fit since the fenders are wider. But i guess BMW doesnt bother anymore and just makes a different bumper for their M cars which fits on non ms. So i ordered a replica m3 front bumper and it worked great. i also remember there was an issue with the washer fluid bottle which needed to be cut in order for bumper to fit.

I bought OEM M flares. They are the same as the M Sport flares. However there are many replicas of them and you don't need to buy the original ones. BUT you have an X6, I don't know about replica flares for the X6. You can buy F16 X6 M Sport flares which are the same thing as the F86 X6M ones.

I did not swap out the air ducts. The body shop made a small trim cut in the center grill to make them line up. You will need the bumper shields underneath too, they connect to the wheel liner.
