Regen in eco pro mode?

I have a 40e and noticed in normal or sport mode that I get one bar of regen while coasting. In eco pro mode I get no regen while coasting. Anyone know why this is and do I really need to switch modes to maximize regen when going down hill?

The way I understand it, is that eco pro is more about maximizing efficiency. So instead of losing momentum to recharge the battery while coasting, it decouples the electric motor so you get some great coasting ability. The only time it will recharge is when you press the brakes.

Regen from high to low is Sport, Comfort and then ECO Pro, and as @corduroy said ECO Pro is for maximizing efficiency and allow you to coast longest distance. It's best used on a highway I believe, and if you are constantly going up/down hill, I'd think Comfort or even Sport will give you best energy regen. Plus it makes the car more fun to drive... I can imagine driving in ECO Pro mode in the hills...
