Water Pump Legal Settlement
Today in the mail I got something from some lawyers saying there’s a class action lawsuit against BMW for defective water pumps.
Apparently 135i owners who replaced their water pumps before the car was 7 years old and 84k miles are eligible for up to $1k reimbursement. Anyone else get this notice?

Yeah as we speak I’m looking for the receipt from the dealer.
The harder part is the credit card statement from 3 years ago showing I actually paid it. Luckily I’m a pack rat and actually found both. Do you have the receipt from the purchase of the water pump? I would start there.

I got a letter too yesterday. But it says under 85k. I think I bought my car at 86k. What are the odds, I can easily get an invoice.

"Fewer than 7 years". My water pump and thermostat were replaced (under third party extended warranty), but at 7 yrs and 10 months. Still, it would have been nice to have had the $200 deductible refunded.
