Light behind visor

In my 2008 e92 m3, when I flip the sun visor down and turn it to the left to block the sun coming in from the driver side window, a small light comes on that is usually hidden under the visor when it’s in the normal visor position. Does anyone know how to turn that feature off? What is the purpose of that light?

Do you have photos? There are no lights in the BMW Visor, at least not the ones I own.

something might be wrong with your visor or the wiring in it, pull it out and inspect it.

The only light I know of is for the integrated mirror, but that only comes on once you slide it open?

Sounds like the slide is missing and the light is stuck on?
