F85 hood and trunk emblem removal

Any idea is the hood is with grommets or just glued on? I can get the trunk base with the emblem off but I just want to replace the emblem not the entire unit.
I'll keep digging around the forum for answers.

I believe it has grommets. So the back of the emblem has prongs. Just take a plastic pry tool to it and then lift straight up.

Believe it or not Dental Floss is very good removal tool, leaves mores adhesive to remove , but scratch free process.

I got my hood roundel done even tho my all black roundel grommets didn't fit (not oem go figure) so I mounted it completely with double sided tape. Let's see how that holds. For the rear roundel I just ordered an IND blacked out base but I still want to remove the emblem itself. When it arrives I'll try the dental floss.

Rear setup the roundel and surround are all one piece. Oem at least. Not sure bout INDs version but would guess it's the same. I had to do some modding and put the thing on the lathe to use the standard BMW roundel I had custom painted
