question about removin the soft top and motor..

help, dose any body remove their soft top and motor be4? if their was pic, even better!! thankz

There is a post by a BMW tech somewhere out there and he says it's a royal bitch. I found it here or on z4-forum i believe. I don't have the bookmark anymore, but there is a procedure out there. Also, probably in the TIS.

Take a look at this link. It's for a coilover install. requires partial removal of soft top so may be helpful.

that would give you a nice weight savings

If you're going to do a coilover install, I highly recommend the Rogue Engineering rear shock mounts.
They invert the bolts so you never have to remove the roof again.

First time I had BMW do the installation. Next time I can do it on my own should I need to do any changes.
