Blk or silver kidneys?

Updated: Hello everyone! I just recently purchased an 05 3.0i roadster and had a question: My kidneys are black but, according to an original '05 brochure, it should have the silver ones. I have the sport package...do the black grills come w/ the sport package? Was the Merlot red only available with blk? Any help would be great!

only the si and above comes with the silver kidney....

your '05 3.0i should have the silver kidney grills and should have the chrome headlights as well

I wasn't aware the Si was available until "06.....incorrect?

You are correct.. Si's are 2006. Maybe the previous owner changed them to black grills. A lot of people do it. I'm currently buying black grills to replace my silver.

Thanks for clearing that up for me...was a bit of a mystery. In the interest of retaining the authenticity of the vehicle I'm considering changing them back to silver. Anyone out there with pics of Merlot with silver kidneys???

Black Kidneys FTW! Mine came black so I dont have to replace them to change the color.

Update: Forum member "Pungo" emailed me with the offer of his nearly unused silver grills. They're now installed and MerLOW is looking great! Thanks Pungo!
