DIY replacing stock mirror Led's HELP

Hey group,
I could use some help.
I bought replacement sequential turn signals for my 2015 m4. I looked up directions on youtube but all seem to be for f30's. I had the entire mirror disassembled. All torque screws removed, cap removed. I could not figure out how to get the lower section of the mirror loose to access the light housing. Of course, I was being very careful, not wanting to break anything. Most of the videos look that they just wiggle it loose. Mine seemed like it did not want to move. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
