E92 M3 M Performance Muffler + Resonator Delete

Tried google searching and combing Youtube, but didn't really find an exact match.

Anyone local to the Bay Area have this set up that I could hear in person, or anyone with videos to share?

my car is a 2013, still stock, with the M Performance muffler (V2 from what I've learned).

I quite enjoy the sound and volume the M Performance muffler produces, but a little more volume or growl wouldn't hurt.

I've learned that removing the primary or secondary cats, using test pipes, etc. induces a lot of rasp, which I want to stray away from, but will removing the resonators do the same?

There is one clear answer, test pipes and tune. This will add power and volume. Deleting the secondary cats or the resonators will add a lot of rasp and less power.

Interesting.. i have a MPE v2 and swapped the x pipe for an RKP with test pipes welded on. so essentially Primary and secondary cat delete, retaining resonators.

it was rasp city...hated it and switched back to stock. I sourced an OEM X-Pipe with test pipes but havent installed it yet with the MPE, fearing it would pretty much be the same thing. My current plan is to get a Corsa and put on the OEM Xpipe with test pipes on at that time.

But now you have me willing to swap the xpipes while still having the MPE

There are a ton of videos now on YouTube. I spent hours and hours watching exhaust videos to figure out my setup.
Here’s an MPE with test pipes. That will be one of the least raspy setup out of any x-pipe replacement or modification imo.

From what I've experienced,

minimally restrictive x-pipe + sound-deadening axle-back = rasp

catted or quad resonated x-pipe + more free-flowing axle-back (less sound-deadening) = refined/humane decent roar

minimally restrictive x-pipe + free-flowing axle-back = uga buga yum yeehaw

Muffler and piping material also comes into play. Inconel (MPE) and titanium (Akropovic), tend to sound tinny.
