I don't see any solid reason to sell it. Just because you're moving to LA doesn't mean you have to have a convertible, which is risky for the melanin-challenged anyway.

well my other reasoning would be because of Traffic. The M Coupe would be my only car. I'm just wondering how long it will be before I get REALLY aggravated pushing that clutch pedal in every morning and evening commute. I had SMG on my last car and swore I would NEVER go back to a car without a clutch pedal, but I'm already having second thoughts.

I daily drive mine and for about 8 months I commuted 70 miles a day, and it was fine. I actually preferred driving my M coupe over my automatic Audi Allroad to work, even through crazy Hollywood freeway traffic. The instant response of that punchy NA engine and the manual tranny made squirting into openings in traffic a snap. It's not like the clutch is very heavy on our cars.
I'd wait until you move out here before getting rid of the car. Socal is probably the best place in the country to own an M coupe.

3 words....
DON'T SELL IT. When looking for a new car both my wife and I were thinking M3. First drove a E46 Coupe, stick, carbon black and black interior. Thought it was quick, handled well, but just didn't do IT Next drove a Black E46 Convertible with grey interior, SMG Thought - Why is this so slow? (BTW 400 LBS on top of M3 weight when you go to Conv) Next drove competiton package M3, Interlagos, Grey interior, six speed This was the one! (or so we thought) Was a deal buster because didn't have heated seats (call me crazy but this should be STANDARD on a luxury car) Next drove Competition Package M3, Interlagos, Cinnamon interior, Dinan supercharged, very upgraded vehicle. This was most like it, but the dealer was unwilling to negotiate and thought he had a UBER rare car on his hands. Wife calls one day, says she's following this little green bmw that just says M on the back of it and can't stop saying how good looking it is, and I have NO idea what she's talking about. Long story short, found one in southern california, flew down from the bay area to test drive, and came home with it. When you sit down into the cockpit of the Mcoupe, grab that Thick steering wheel for the first time, the M3 feels like a butter knife and the MCoupe is the scalpel. I'd say bring it out here, there are SO many convertibles out here, and they're over done. I've had the convertible before, they're great in the evenings, or for drives down the beach, but commuting to work in one in LA? Top up, AC on, guaranteed! Plus there's SO many canyons to drive in (mullholand, malibu, etc!!!) |

I need to shop for an Z4M Coupe by march 09 when my lease is done. This offer/package looks interesting. Quick question: Are those wheels CSL's look? Size?
Wish you the best on your sale. If is still available at that time we might talk. |
