Very new phone, try pairing another phone to see if the same behavior is present.

Blackberry storm isn't listed on the functionality list, so it is very possible this is the problem. I always speak a bit louder than normal, as it is impossible to adjust any settings on the car.

its possible that the mic is installed on the passenger side of the upper console. My girlfriends 08 mini had its mic on the passenger side and 15m of work made the sound quality much better. Maybe BMW makes them all that way by default?

i owned a 335i and now own a 2009 infiniti FX and the mic is beside the sunroof button. I don't know where BMW keeps theirs but I would think its close by there.

With bluetooth, as long as people can hear me, I consider myself lucky. It's always going to sound weird since you're far away from the microphone indeed. Good day.

I had the same problem when I switched to an iPhone about 9 months ago. It has since worked itself out, or everyone I know has gotten used to the sound and hasn't told me.

I had issues with my BB 8800, I also have an iphone and have not had any issues. People sometimes ask me where I am as its sounds very quiet in the background so they think I am at home.

Actually, you do the opposite. the other person on the phone is probably hearing an echo because its too loud. Turn it down, trust me!

I have an '09 eE90, July build and everyone I have asked (including my wife who would let me know if the signal sucked at all) say it sounds great.

+1 mine is so much better than my G35 6MT sedan it is not even funny. When I used to have problems turning it down always helped. If I was talking to someone and they had speaker phone the background noise would make the signal go in an out constantly.
