Both are NBD (PITA but not indicative of a bad car), pad the repairs into the purchase price.

Car has around 55k miles on it, seems a bit premature to me but you’re probably right.

Agree with having it priced accordingly. If that’s the worst out of the inspection It’s not bad. If the PCV valve has failed (it’s not clear in the report), you might want to look into the extended emissions warranty here in the US. There are reports of some folks getting the valve cover replaced under this warranty in the since the PCV valve is integrated. I believe it is covered up to 70k miles, so you might get lucky there.

Wouldn’t be a BMW without a premature oil leak.

As others stated, just need to work it into the price. Not a bad report, all potential issues considered.

Those amounts for replacing the air filters are ridiculous. I've changed mine twice, took 30 minutes. The CF chassis brace comes off easily, (8 bolts) and then the two airboxes come apart after undoing the hex screws that hold the top and bottom pieces together. While you're at it, you can pop out the charcoal filter elements that are somewhat restrictive. I'd recommend BMC replacement filters.

The rest of the suggested repairs are best left to a shop, but I'd deduct those costs from the asking price for your offer.

Regarding "premature oil leaks", I've owned 2 E46 330s, an E92 335, an F30 335, and my current F80 M3 without any oil leaks. Same for the wife's E46 325i, 128i, 228i and current X3.

I'm a bit confused by the listing in the OP's original post, as I see the cost for the valve cover repair, but not the oil pan. That can get expensive, in my experience (on an E24).

Good for you, getting that PPI. Not enough people do that.

My 335i had enough for the both of us, I had one when the OFHG leaked and then when the belts shredded and pushed through the front main into the oil pan. I'm convinced BMW uses gaskets that are allergic to oil.

Is the car close enough that you could go look at it? Some mechanical issues could be overlooked if condition and price was good enough. Just depends on how much of a headache you want to put up with.
