Thanks for posting. What's "wrong" with Zelle? I thought Zelle is made by the megabanks (i.e., real/safe), but it's like a wire where there are no take backs (safe for the seller). Is that it (no buyer protections)?
(I'm just trying to keep up over here...)

I don't know who the alleged scammer is, but asking for payment via zelle does not turn you into a scammer.
One can ask payment in whatever they want. If the buyer doesn't know the seller, then they should always ask for paypal G&S. |

Trying to see where the scam is. All he did was request Zelle. You can always negotiate payment through other platforms, as others mentioned, and prefer PayPal G&S.

Hats off to the newbie.
Spotted a scam rhat OG Members could not. All it takes is 15 seconds to Google the phone number in the OP which returns a number of Bimmerpost Classifieds who have fallen victim as well as a Corvette forum. And people wonder how people fall for scams. Good job newbie. |
