Extended warranty
So before anyone starts saying its a SCAM and a waste of money, please let me know if you have had any personal experiences. SUch as being denied or if you used your extended warranty without a problem.
I know these motors are bullet proof when kept stock, but things do go wrong and they are pricey. Just had my heated seat fixed and it was almost $1200. I plan on keeping my x3m for the next 3-4 years and bmw is offering a platinum coverage for 5-6k. LIKE i said before please don't say its a scam and and a waste of money. Rather tell me if you have had claims processed without a problem or denied. Thanks in advance I did put this on the x3m forum but no one is outside of the factory warranty range bc they started making them in 2020. Plus this forum is more active. |

So factory is expiring soon and you are looking to add 2 more years? BMW platinum is essentially CPO coverage, which back when it added 2yrs 100k miles for an M Car was about $4-6k, so the pricing is in line with CPO markup. After total ownership how many miles do you expect the car to have?

SO the current quote I received is for a total of 7 years /75k miles. The 7years start from the date the car was put into service which was jan 2020. SO warranty would end jan 2027 or 75k miles I currently have 26, 500 miles. I drive about 11-12k miles a year so 75 would be at that mark. |
