The official "my dealer sold a 135i to me at or near invoice" thread

Let's help everyone get a 135i for nearly invoice, i've called and been to some dealers, they all have huge unfilled allocations... but they're not trying to deal anywhere near invoice.

Which dealers focus more on volume than individual comissions?

I'll start off in the thread, i'm in west michigan... what dealer nearby do I need to be doing business with for invoice on a "lowly" 135i!

Otherwise it's a 08 vette coupe for me!

Reading these forums and visiting dealers in California, the best deal most of them are going to give you is MSRP. If you are lucky you might get $500 below MSRP, a few very lucky people have gotten $1000 below MSRP. I do not know if this is the same everywhere else, maybe it might change in 6 months?

Detroit dealers have them and are selling at sticker.

FWIW (not much I'm sure), I'll be picking up a fully loaded example a year from now for $6-8K under MSRP with a paltry 8-10K miles on the clock. And I doubt I'll feel an ounce of shame in doing so. Too bad for the first guy...

I am getting mine for $1200 over ED invoice but this is because I made the deal in November before the allocation issue came up. I really don't think that there is anyway that I could get this deal today. There is still a waiting list at my dealership for 135i coupes. Convertibles aren't a problem and I don't know what it is like for other dealers in the Pacific Northwest, but if it is the same elsewhere and continues into the summer you might be able to get bargains on convertibles in the relatively near future.

At or near invoice? I doubt it. Maybe in a year or so.

You will have to wait until 2009 before you will be able to find a 135i around invoice.

Do you mean that's your plans or you have dibs on the demo car?

I'm no rush myself. I drive once a week on average of 6 miles anyway, and sometimes I just jog those 6 miles . But I did test drive the 128i the other day and I may have to extend those 6 miles a week to 12.

I think thats a little optimistic giving the amount of cars that will be available for purchase.. i was a buyer for BMW and a car this hot and its first year in will have you paying closer to 2-3K maybe 4K below invoice.. maybe.. depending on miles of course..

Good luck..

HAHA dealer called me back yesterday asking if I had "reconsidered" paying sticker, I told him to call me back on the 31st when he had to turn his month end numbers in and still had 20+ allocations to move

Also told him if i had 5 million$ I still wouldn't pay sticker on a lambo, we'll see how this goes

otherwise a corvette that will pummel a 135i in ALL ways except class will be the next ride
