My 135i is on order

I put in my order for a 135i with the following options in on March 27, 2008.
Sparkling Graphite Metallic
6SP MT
Black Boston Leather/Aluminum Trim
Sports Package
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
Premium Hi-fi System
ipod/USB adaptor
Comfort Access System

When I looked up the production number on BMW Owners circle on Friday 3/28/08, it had another car scheduled for production. My dealer had a car build slot and they changed the build of the car to my specs. Monday 03/31/08 my car was in the system.

I ask the BMW Sales Manager for the build date but he said they do not have that info. Others on this board have mentioned the dealer has this information. Also, they changed another build for my specs. So I would think that should be scheduled. When I pressed the Manager he finally told me the build date. He said it the week 17 (April 28, 2008). Why do I have to prove it to these people that they have the build date to show it to me.

I made this thread mainly to track my car build and make notes of my experience.

Great. The exact options I am getting, except color choices and heated seats, not ski-bags.

From my experience, when the order gets Priority 1 status (“Customer Sold”) it accelerates the process. The production date could be shifted 2 weeks forward meaning you might end up having April 14 as production date. That happened to me having 4/17 allocation, but completion date was 4/1, nice surprise.

I hate Petersons with the passion of a thousand suns!!!

Sorry to hear about all your problems. I briefly (very briefly) considered Petersons for my "1", but they stayed true to form and that was the end of that. I posted a review under the dealership thread that outlines my "experience" a little more. Here's to hoping they pull their heads out sometime soon.
