135 or Z4 M Coupe

What do you guys think? I love the 135, but the Z4M is soooo much sexier. There is just something about a no-compromise sports car.

Depends on your needs and wants. My dad has a Z4 M coupe, and uses it for his daily driver. He is lucky enough to not have a ton of traffic to navigate through each day, because those situations can be a little unforgiving in his car.

The Z4 M has a much different purpose than the E82. The E82 is like a good all around athlete--does a lot of things very well. The M, on the other hand, is like a world class athlete--and you have to drive it as such to enjoy it.

Only you can decide what is best fitted to your needs.

I was in your same situation. However, the Z4Ms are kind of hard to come by! (in the trim that I wanted). Plus, id say the 135 is faster!

Most of my driving is in downtown dallas, rarely venturing north of NW highway. With either car, it's primarily urban driving, which neither car is really well suited for. I imagine that on a daily bases, the ride in the 135 would be more tolerable.

I used to have a Z3 Coupe, and it was a beating to drive everyday, which is why I ultimately got rid of it. In retrospect, it was a mistake.

I love both and the Z4 coupe is my favorite Bangle-era design, but I like the 135i more, and it's actually made in Germany unlike the Z4.

Can you still get your hands on a M coupe? They were going for the same price as a brand new 135i earlier this year - as a new model. I thought they would left the lots by now.

They are both beautiful cars. The 135 is more of a spirited daily driver where the Z is more of a weekend track car.

I sold a Z4M coupe to buy my 135i. z4m is a horrendous daily driver. hard cramped seats(cool for a little while), seat belt that digs into the middle of your neck, all around piss pore visibility(rear view mirror is just about useless) and no low end power. other than that is a phenomenal sports car that handles like a go cart. if your just buying a toy Z4M all the way if it is more than that 135i. also in a straight line there pretty close but the 135i has 100 times the potential of the Z4M as far as power goes.(ofcourse the Z4M will never have an overheating issue like the TT 3.0)

actually the S54 does not make peak tq until 4900RPM and peak HP at 7900RPM, so you do have to rev it to get the power out of it.

No--I've driven both extensively, and I respectfully disagree with your assessment. Plenty of low-end. CRAZY on the high end.

Have you driven it? For longer than around the block? Or an hour? At 4K in 2nd or 3rd gear, you better hang on to your hat.

Isnt that the case with most M engines? Low end is not the specialty, true. But the car is a beast unless you are going 30 mph in 3rd gear.
