West-Coasters-At-The-Port support group -- today 4/23 is "our day"
I figured since there are still so many west-coast-delivery week 14/15/16'ers sitting in port in Bremerhaven, that we could use a single thread to tie them all together.
For anyone whose car successfully made it onto the Cosmos Venture on the 18th, congrats. For everyone else, let's check in and see how today through Friday goes, with three ships scheduled to depart. I've attached the schedule as of this morning. Interestingly, the Turandot is in Malmo, Sweden, at the moment. Covered a lot of ground since yesterday. |

This is awesome! Mine will be complete today 23rd and hopefully it'll be on Turnadot or Green Dale.

I'm sure I've missed it in this thread, or in the tracking guide, but where are you guys getting that schedule that keeps getting posted? |

It's in the official tracking guide, but the direct link is here:
http://www.dbh.de/index.php?id=151&L=0 (put Port Hueneme into the Export side of the form). RodY: The Hojin left Bremerhaven on 4/3 with an ETA of 4/26, but I can't seem to track its current location. Must be close though! |

My car finished production on 4/17 and is still "in transit to the port of exit", which means on a train to the docs. Dan |

It’s been a long time since the last update. On 4/4 car came to the port, and I hope BMW finally, after 3 damn weeks, will load it to the ship. The only one concern is VPC waiting, which could be a week or so, because 4 different vessels will arrive to Port Hueneme within short period of time.

According to the VPC tour thread they will work weekends and overtime if they have a large influx of "Priority 1" cars. So hopefully all those ships arriving around the same time wont slow them down too much.

Does anyone know if ED dropoffs always leave from bremerhaven? I dropped off in zurich (pictures coming) and am totally in the dark as to where my car is or is going. I'm expecting late may delivery based on my dropoff date + 6 weeks but would like to join in the tracking fun while I play with my fake 135i in GT5.

Then I'll just have to pray. There are couple more boat departing after Green Dale, one on the 2nd and one on the 4th so they're not too far off and hopefully I can get into one of them. I don't want to see further because the next ship after 4th is on 15th.

At the docks waiting for a ship since April 9th here...exactly 2 weeks today. I think I might cry if I don't get on one by the end of the week.

http://edbmw.com/main/Drop-off_Locations.pdf I believe that you can drop it off at Zeebruge and Amsterdam without it having to go back to Bremerhaven. You might want to check with Irv Robinson who is on this board to find out the most efficient way for you to drop off and track. |

I'm on a boat! Dealer's computers are down so they can't yet tell me whether its Jupiter Diamond or Pacific Breeze. They said it left port on 4/23, so I suspect it's the latter.
Anyone else have confirmation about being on one of these two ships? I'd like to know who I'm riding with. |

My status just finally changed to "at the port waiting for a shipping vessel" today. I've been "being transported to the port of exit" or "released to a carrier" for a week now and just finally hit the docks.
I just hope that all of you week 14 and 15 people made the two boats from yesterday and Tuesday, that way the one coming in tomorrow can pick up all us week 16 people. Dan |

Note: A new boat was added to the schedule, departing for Port Hueneme on 4/27, called the "Manon" IIRC. But its ETA is a week longer than the other boats. |

:w00t: Yes! Finally, my car is on Jupiter Diamond departed 4/23, estimated arrival 5/18. It took “just” 3 weeks, 20 days to be exact for it to leave the port. Damn, one moment I thought, they forgot about my car at all.

Sounds like they are getting back on the ball. Not only have all of the week 14ers finally been picked up but it looks like all of the week 15ers and even a few of the week 16ers got picked up and are now en route. (west coasters)
Since my status just changed to "at the port" this morning I'm guessing that I'll get picked up by the Turandot when it docks tomorrow. If that happens then the possibility of me getting it the last week of May is very real. Dan |

I'm also hoping to get the car the last week of May. I have a road trip up to Denver the weekend of May 31st, and I'd love to take the new car up there.
Here's my best guess in order to get the car by Friday 5/30: - Arrival at PH on Sunday 5/18 or Monday 5/19 - At VPC in Oxnard by Tuesday 5/20 - Finishing VPC processing by Monday 5/26 (6 days total) - Arrival at Dealer by Wednesday 5/28 (2 day trip) - Dealer prep 5/29 It'll be tight. According to my dealership, 2 days is all it takes to truck the car from Oxnard to NM. So the key to making my timeline work will be the ship arrival schedule, and the VPC processing time. I know 2 day processing is the minimum, but if it takes longer than 6-7 days I might not be getting the car in time for the road trip. We'll see. |

Yeah the VPC is going to be the wild card. I've heard it can take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks to make it through VPC. Unfortunately with all us west coasters hitting the dock within a few days of each other it could get a little crowded at the VPC.
