Sat in my 1er yesterday!
CA called me yesterday am when I had just pulled into the parking spot at the Air Force Base for the Wings over Charleston air show. Said he had some good news about my car. I go, "Oh, really?" He says, "Yeah, I'm looking at it". I said "Holy crap!" So, after waiting in traffic for over 2 hours yesterday afternoon to get out, I got to the dealership around 6:15. There she was, parked right out front. I wasn't going to do the deal then as I wasn't driving my car, but I did tear the plastic out and the cardboard off the door panels and drive her around the dealer lot with my mom in the passenger seat. Took some pix with her camera, but she didn't have the cable with her for me to put them on my computer. I will get the car Wednesday though. Yay! Almost another week 14 groupie with their ride. Will post pix when I get it and use my camera. Going to Atlanta next saturday for full coverage clear bra and tint.

Congrats! What do you do at Charleston if you don't mind me asking? I used to be a C-17 Crew Chief... Loved Charleston!

congrats!
I just got back from driving up to my dealer's storage lot, where I saw my car! It's a big lot, and it must have been fate, because she was at the front of the first aisle I turned down. She's still got the "afterbirth" - plastic on the seats, transport stickers, etc, but she's here! (and for some reason, she got a gender after I saw her). Have to wait until Tuesday for pickup because the title won't be ready until then, but this is going to be real! Whee! amy! |

Well, it sure did smell good. And the coral red interior is mighty fine. It's going to take a lot of restraint to wait until wednesday to pick it up. Actually, I'd get it friday if the dealership wasn't so nice in asking me to do the deal before the end of the month. I really don't want to drive it more than I have too before she gets protected. But, I know you all will be taking delivery of your new sheetmetal soon. And we shall all enjoy the thrill of revving up our wonderful N5X's soon
