1-Series Just Added to Costco Pricing

I was psyched to see Costco just added the 1-series to their site this weekend. I had called a couple weeks ago and they said it was uncertain if BMW would agree to offer it through their program. I also found out that you CAN combine a Costco purchase with European Delivery. But, I got a hold of a CostCo dealer in Denver and he was kind enough to share the price with me over the phone......$700 off msrp, that's it. Most cars have greater discounts than that through CostCo. Still, if you have a CostCo local dealer, that may be the best you can do right now with the lack of discounting going on. For me, that's a bit better than I can have negotiated locally but not enough so to justify buying a state away.

I was a member of Costco, now Sams. I will wait until the dealer near me takes $1k off MSRP. Since they will probably offer me $3-4,000 less for my trade then I can get selling myself. Its TOO MUCH of a hassle selling myself having to order a BMW.
This is one thing I HATE about BMW's. The golden people.

I got a bit more than that off but that sounds like a good starting place.

That kinda stinks. I called last week to do Costco pricing and they said it wasn't available. I still got $500 off msrp, so it's not a huge deal, but oh well. Okay, back to driving it!

$700 off still isn't too bad

Just checked Costco's site with my zip code, they haven't find a local dealer for the 135i yet. guess SoCal dealer still doesn't wanna sell the 135i at a discount...:bs:

Got my local fleet manager (BMW Mountain View) to offer me $500 off MSRP through Costco for a custom-ordered 135. Couldnt sway him any lower...

I hope this works out. I did the Costco deal buying my 325i in 2006. Got it for $800 over invoice. One thing to tell you though is that different dealers give a different price through costco. I was working with 2 dealers, one was 800 over invoice, the other 1800 over invoice.

$850 over the invoice seems to be the "norm" selling price for BMW dealers. I was quoted $850-$1000 over the invoice for a new 2008 335i coupe without going through the Costco program. The only exception, "hot" items like a 1 series. I found out some dealers are quoting better prices through "internet pricing". I saved additional $1000 via "internet price" when I bought my Honda.

Yes, the costco price is not uniquely low. But it does serve as a nice starting point in knowing that you can get the dealer at least that low, and go from there.

Went to dealer in SD for "Costco Pricing", they are offering $500 off MSRP. I was told that they would give an additional "couple hundred" off. Thus confirmed the $700 that IUpod noted. I negotiated $1000 off MSRP to place order, but looks like Terracotta interior is no longer avail.

Prices are coming down I believe, negotiate and be willing to walk away or goto another dealer.

I was quoted Costo pricing of invoice plus $1500. With ED too. Anyone get a better deal?

$1000 off MSRP?? Nice, I am in San Diego also, so I would love to find out where you get this deal? The MSRP based on BMW website shows $40,000 for what I want... so $39000 out the door would be great.... Can you PM me the place, thanks!
