Just picked up in Toronto - Crimson Red 135i

Okay, so I didn't JUST pick it up. I actually got it on Friday but was having too much fun driving around the long weekend to post up!

Apparently, mine (ummm, actually bought it for the gf... but whatever... I drive it more :biggrin was the first Crimson Red to arrive at my dealership it captured a lot of attention. VERY happy with how the car looks in this colour.

Can't wait to see more 1'ers pop up in the GTA. Hopefully we can get some
good meetups going!

Awesome pic I saw a crimson 1er at my dealership. It is a great colour, has that awesome red but also a few other deep tones added.

And my car should be here soon too. Will be getting to Halifax today

When I went to pick up the car, there was a Sedona Red close to my Crimson Red and you could really see the difference. No contest in real life. Crimson Red was SOOO much nicer. We constantly get people staring at the car as we drive around.

The Sedona Red has a bit of orange and brown in it which really tones it down quite a bit and I think it looks awkward under the dealer lamps. The Crimson Red on the other hand is pretty pure with just a little bit of black tint in it which gives it a really deep and lively looking colour. In the sun the colour really pops and stands out, while in parking garages it looks very deep and rich. I love it.

Definately not overwhelming, but I don't think everyone could pull it off. Beautiful colour and everyone likes the look... but for the older crowd they may prefer something more low key.

Don't know how to photoshop my gf out of the pics below, but I think she's just as pretty

Crimson is really eye catching in person, in a good way though. Its not a glaring red, which I hate. Too bad theres not a darker red though, some cars with dark red just do it for me. And yes, shes pretty like that car too.

pocketracer, how come you have the US wheels and not the 261M wheels? Did you not order the M Sport package?

Love the colour.

Definitely my choice as well.

Can't believe you didn't get the sport package though...

Sadly no sport package. Gf likes the chrome trim better than the shadowline and I'm not a fan of power seats. I'll eventually go for an aftermarket rim anyways so I didn't feel I'd be missing much.

It's already sporty enough that a pool has started in my office to guess how long it will be until I get my first speeding ticket! heheh... had to take a bunch of co-workers out for a quick ride this afternoon.

pwong, yeah I got it from T&C. I ordered late march and got it mid May. They managed to change another order for us. Originally they said we might get it end of June. I don't know what magic my SA pulled but I got a call last Weds saying it had arrived and was ready for pickup!

And yes, my gf is chinese

Haha.. why were you asking if it was his GF was Chinese? Chinese girls like chrome trims more? If so, I guess I should consider the chrome... haha

Pocketracer, what rims are you looking at? =P

So far the only rimss to get the thumbs up with the gf have been the OZ Caravaggio's. A bit on the heavy side for me. Still looking for the perfect set though... Any suggestions?

Yup! Taupe interior, but only in the leatherette. I think the combination looks awesome :headbang: Absolutely no regrets!

Excellent ! Looks great from what I can see in the pics. I ordered my 135 'vert in Criimson Red with Taupe leatherette too. How's the leatherette FEEL ?

rubbery at all ?

The only BMW leatherette I've ever seen/felt in person was the black....so I'm hoping I'll like the taupe leatherette as much. I mostly wanted the light color of the taupe throughout the interior, both on the seats and carpet and underpanels. So many of the other seat color choices forced you into a black carpet/underpanel combo. And if taupe was the color, I figured why bother paying for the tuape leather if taupe leatherette looked the same:biggrin:.

Sounds like you love it. I get mine in about 2 weeks....hope I like it as much. can't wait !

Sorry no time for pics lately of the interior, and I don't have a lens that would do a decent wide angle to really get a sense of it.

To pwillcutts regarding the feel of the leatherette. I prefer cloth over anything else but the leatherette I think almost feels like real leather. Going through the dealer showroom it's hard to pick out the real leather cars versus the leatherette ones. I actually picked up a 328xi about 2 weeks prior with real leather and I don't think it's much of a difference in touch feeling.

However, sitting in it you notice a big difference. The leather breaths a lot better and you don't end up wrinkling your shirt back as much or sweating on the really hot days. Ah well.. that's what A/C is for.
