Hi Kris, the little pink one in the presentation box has a price ticket of $20,000 (.31 of a carat). I guess it's the old adage, "if you need to ask..."
The little ones are, I think, mostly slated for industrial use. Here's a couple more that I took from last years Diamond Tender:   Again, not perfect shots but you wouldn't believe what I had to go through to get those pics  - Hehe, love that smiley!The following aren't mine, but I have seen this with my own eyes:   Some nice gem stones in this petri sized dish:

I think it's pretty amazing how much value many people put on a 3D carbon lattice.

Looks like a tray full of kitty litter! It's amazing how ordinary diamonds look before they're cut & polished.

so true guran. i've been to a city called surat in india and have seen the kitty-litter galore. over 90% of the world's diamonds pass through that city for cutting and polishing - giving them their worth. its astounding.

Guran, funny you should use the 'kitty litter' analogy, that's what I use to describe them. When I was in there, there were dozens of those trays along the bench. However, watchers watching the watchers was well in effect.
Professor, yes, the numbers involved in India are amazing.
