Lag from stop, and boost surge during city driving.

Ok,

I've noticed after driving another 135i that my car has lag down low, probably because of software... but more importantly, seems like when I am doing part throttle (no where near wide open throttle)... I'll reach the top of the gear and all the sudden a surge of boost or something... but its very intermittent...

My worries are
#1 why is boost coming in so late, and why is it so violent
#2 Why would it be very intermittent

My dealer is giving me the usual BS runaround with the "drive us around and prove it does that", so it sounds like I'll more or less just be stuck with it.

The lag issue I am 99% sure its due to crap ass software, that the dealer will of course refuse to fix even though it affects drivability.

Any ideas? And any ideas on how to deal with the dealership... I try to be patient, and it certainly isnt my SA's fault, but why cant they just fix the software issue?

Also, is there a way I can see what softare my car is running from a hidden menu or something?
