Well it had to happen (another one bites the dust)

Pushed the start button and the car cranked for a good 10 seconds. It finally fired up and just died. Did this about 3 times, all with the same result. Sounds to me like my hpfp just bit the farm. Oh well off to the dealership we go. Wish me luck!

When did you get your car? Current Mileage/KM? I'm wondering if BMW fixed this problem in more recently delivered vehicles. I ordered my in Oct and picked it up in Dec. Reading all these threads about the fuel pump worries me.

I was one of the first to get one. I picked it up on March 13, 2008. I just hit 13k miles today. Good luck!

ouch...I recently felt your pain but now it's running as strong as ever! BMW really should have recalled these garbage HPFP's...way too many have failed! My friend ordered a 335 when I ordered my car. Her HPFP died before it had 1K on clock and it was fully stock!

Well I just got the car back. Service was great. They put in the new fuel pump. I dont think they upgraded the software because it does not say so on my work order. When i picked up the car the Techs were all complimenting my various cosmetic mods. Here is to BMW. They get a big thumbs up from me on this one.
