Lost Ipod connection

It's in the shop. they can't figure it out.

The 328 loaner is nice, but too big.

Did you perform a reset of the iPod itself?

I had the same problem on my previous car. They had to replace the whole iPod integration module. Have not had this problem on my 1 though (knock wood).

Have you or they tried a USB stick? I just picked up one over the holidays - 16 Gbyte Kingston Datatraveller for $25. If the USB stick works, then it must be something in the Ipod. Did Apple perform any software updates recently?

I tried a number of things prior to giving it to the dealer.

I am shocked that they have been in contact with BMW for 2 days and don't have a clue as to what to do.

They also don't know what to do with the creaking front seat.

Their 328 loaner is ok.

I had the same issue and in my case neither an ipod or USB drvie would show up.

Turns out I had pinched one of the fiber optic cables in the rear of the center console when I removed it. Once I found the flattened cable and pinched it back the way it was, everything was fine.
