Shift Knob Weight
I'm in the process of deciding which knob to go with my ssk and UUC has this massive knob that weights over a pound! I just want to know apart from cosmetics, what other benefits is there with a heavy knob?
Are there any cons on having a heavy knob? like increase vibration, increase ware on the shifter assembly, etc? Thanks |

A heavier knob will make engagement and transitions much easier as it will assist in moving the lever into gear. The shifter will also feel much more solid.

hmm, it's just over 1lb, my hand is probably way heavier than 1lb :P
I've placed the order this afternoon, now it's the wait. Thanks |

Wow a pound, that's over twice the weight of the BMW performance knob.
You can rush the syncros with too much weight. |
